Almost four years to the exact day we first met in Gainesville during summer term, we’re tying the knot! After a stereotypically swampy day found Kirsten reading in her hammock outside, Mike quickly took notice. What started off as a summer fling with the girl next-door (or in this case, downstairs) quickly turned into years of adventures, heated intellectual debates, and binge-watching Netflix. We’ve managed to survive it all, from four months of living on separate continents to first real jobs and graduate school all-nighters. And after a grand geocaching proposal, we cannot wait to begin our next adventure with you all by our sides!

Michael is more than I could have ever asked for. I may be a tad biased, but I think he is extremely smart, sincere, witty, and sensitive, once you get past that cocky exterior of course. Falling in love with him was easier than I would have liked; we simply just clicked. I quickly found myself head-over-heals with the quirky engineer-hermit from upstairs. Every day with Michael is an adventure. His passion, whether it be for proving me wrong in a debate or for developing world-changing technologies, still blows me away every day. On bad days, he is the person I know I can turn to when I need advice or a good ugly cry; and on good days, he’s my biggest cheerleader and always willing to grab a coffee or a celebratory drink. I still don’t know how he puts up with me and my snarky self, but I truly don’t know what I would do without him. I can’t wait to officially call you mine!
